Default new owner need help ASAP PLZ.

HI s2ki, this is my first post as a new owner of a 00 s2000 here. i have many questions of course, but my priority is when i turn my lights on at night the only source of light i get from the back is from the side marker light. and only when i press the brakes the big rounded light comes off but it's off if i'm not stepping on the brakes ???? thanks in advance

Can you clarify a bit? You say when you press the brake pedal the "big rounded light comes off but it's off if i'm not stepping on the brakes"...so basically they are off all of the time? Or was that a typo.

Hmm. I'm unsure exactly how the ap1's are wired, but the tail-lights should use a tail-light relay located in the under-dash fuse block. I'd swap it with a known good relay. The license plate light is powered through the relay. Does that light up?

Have you tried changing the bulbs? I believe AP1 taillights are a 7443 bulb which is a dual filament bulb. The parking light filaments may be out, but the brake filaments are still fine.
