Default HELP! weird light problem

ok so heres the situation.... so my brake lights are acting funny... when i turn on the lights on the car the tail lights work. but when i step on the brake only the right hand brake light comes on the 3rd light and the left hand stay off..... i dont think it is a fuse because one light comes on.. and the 3rd brake light is brand spanking new... so its not the bulbs. any other suggestions?

Did you double check the connections? Any breaks in the wiring?

double checked the connections and the wiring.... its odd because the right brake light will work 50% of the time but the left and the 3rd wont work at all. I replaced all the 10A fuses under the hood and under the dash... all the other lights work. i am wondering if it could be a brake light switch....

Cool! Was this the switch on the brake pedal assembly? Did you need a new one? Or fix the old one?

Thanks!

yep it was the switch on the brake assembly i didn't have time to try to mess with it so i just replaced it. 25$ at orileys
what was throwing me off is that the third brake light still wasn't turning on but then it was a brand new led light

so i went back to another led light which didn't work... so i put the stock back on which did.. this was what was throwing me off...

it seemed to be a combination of a 2 bad third brake lights and a bad brake light switch but its all good to go now!
