15 lbs will most likely be to much for it. You have to remember that we had 2 big amps up there, the weight was crazy. It had to weigh in around 40-50 lbs.

The new one we made stays up on the regular trunk springs, not even the heavy duty ones for the spoiler. However that one might weigh in at 8lbs. It weighs in about the same as a stock spoiler.

What are you going to put up there?

Im thinking about sticking a nice amp up there....however...

I am engineering something....

I was gonna do what you did on your first version...but now I am thinking this...
(Thanks for the pic john )

So...the red line would be a plexi solid cylinder....attached to the yellow things. The yellow things are bearings that will keep the amp in one position (rather than rotate like a rotisserie)....Ill probably put the crossovers there as well.

This is my current idea....Its on the drawing board.

Also...you know that the plexi tube will be glowing like a seconds sun right?

That might work out nice and it would look very cool.

I told you. I aint lettin John sit on that throne for too long. Enjoy your 15 minutes of fame buddy, cause youre gonna have to redo your system again soon.

J/K, its all in good fun. Im looking to have about 1000wrms of light in my trunk by the time I am done...you know, something that can light up a small village.

Oh yea, John...

Do you have a source to get a 1" thick plexy cylinder??? Does home depot/lowes have something like that???

Yeah I have a place I can get that from. But I'll have to call and see how much a longer stick of it is. They only show a 1" x 24" stick on the website for $15 bucks. Although depending on what you do gluing shorter sticks together might be fine.

Someone always has something better it a fact... world changes just to fast....
