Default New Toy

Just put in Clarions new VZ309 DVD player. I was concerned that the audio might drop off in quality but it has not.

Also, the shop put in a switch to bypass having to lift up the ebrake to enable video so if I was driving down the road i can just flop the switch.

I wonder if other dvd players are like that, not sure but everything seems to work fine.

yes, most of them need either a by pass switch, a module(which automates the bypass function everytime you start the car/turn on the radio), or have the wire grounded.

in your case, if you don't have to do a combination with your foot brake and the switch, you can by pass the safty feature just by grounding the hand brake wire of the hu.

I got this radio from the Amazon deal. What a tight squeeze it was to get it pushed far enough back for the 4 screws on the dog ears. Did you have any trouble? Also, my radio door won't quite close now. Doesn't seem to be quite enough room at the top.

Overall it's not so bad. But, I am definitely glad I didn't pay very much for it.
