Newest cell phone that has a hardwire kit for car?
I am looking to change my service carrier to Verizon or T-Mobile and need a Hardwire kit for the car. I would like a camera phone or at least a multicolor phone. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

Handsfree kit that doesn't plug into the cigarette lighter. However, Verizon is the #1 provider in my area, but I will probably be going with T-Mobile. So I am looking for Samsung or Motorola phones.

If you need it for the S2k, I would suggest just the regular handsfree earplug with built-in microphone. With the top down this works very well.
Verizon rules! No one else has better coverage in the Northeast. AT&T would be my second choice. I'm not sure if Verizon has a camera phone but there are many options for a color display phone, e.g the Motorola T-720.

Very few companies are offering car kits these days. Sony Ericsson has some as does Nokia. You have a wider choice of phones with the GSM carriers, which would be AT&T Wireless, Cingular and T Mobile. Motorola has had some serious problems in the past and always tried to blame the network for their equipment. It took carriers threatening to quit selling their equipment for them to fix a problem that existed in their equipment for five years. Kind of interesting that they could come up with new firmware for the phones and almost brought them on-par with the other phone manufacturers. So much for being a network problem.
While Verizon is #1 that is because they have bought their way there. They are also notorious for poor customer service, failure to do what they promised the first time and wasteful spending.
CDMA networks also have some serious limitations and vendor interoperability between the back-end equipment is non-existent, which forces them to buy equipment from one manufacturer. Which obviously locks them into equipment which is bad for the longterm. That basically gives them a license to steal as who replace hundreds of millions of dollars of equipment. CDMA also has 14% market share of all the users in the world. GSM is two out of every three mobile users. AT&T Wireless and Cingular are switching from TDMA to GSM which will result in higher GSM market share. Even the largest operator in Mexico is going to GSM. CDMA is mostly in the US and has very little penetration anywhere else. These operators around the world had their choice of what they wanted to provide and they decided on GSM. The biggest problem with the CDMA equipment is that nothing is integrated but basically just tacked on. This complicates maintenance as well as upgrades. The GSM systems are much more integrated, has interoperability between vendors and most importantly, more thought out integration process.

Verizon is definitely the best choice. I've had them all, and Verizon by far has the best service. I'm actually picking up a new phone today. Might I suggest the Samsung SCH-a530. IMHO, it's the nicest phone they offer right now. Looks like there is a hands free car kit too...
