Default NonMatching wires in Alpine HU & Modifry harness

Im connecting the modifry harness to my Alpine 9856 stereo and about 4 wires I cannot match:

Modifry:
Orange/Whitewire that says dimmer
Yellow that says +12v Memory
Red that says +12v Power

Alpine:
Yellow that according to the manual is Battery
Red that according to the manual is Ignition
Pink/Black that according to the manual is Audio interrupt In
Blue/white that according to the manual is Remote Turn On

Im not sure if Yellow and Red match other Yellow and Red in this case.

What about the remaining two wires on Alpine?

Modifry instructions also mention ATT/Cell wire on the radio harness(to connect DCI Mute wire to it), but i cant seem to find it in alpine manual, what other names might it have?

I have a 9857, which I'm looking at the manual now. First, check your manual, your wiring diagrams will be in the back.

Alpine wire Modifry wire
orange orange/white. This dims the HU lights when lights are on.
Pink/Black -------- Look for the wire labeled "mute". This will Pause your HU
not just mute the volume. Very nice feature BTW.
Yellow Yellow, I think
Red Red, I think.

I'm in the process of installing an amp, so I'll check my wiring tonight, in case I missed something. The other option you might consider is to tie your DCI into the speed output. This will raise the volume automatically to compensate for road noise. Works really well.

Alpine CDA-9856 manual

I didnt see the wire on Modifry adapter that said "Mute". In fact the only wires that werent already connected to other wires I listed in my original post.
So if yellow goes to yellow and red goes to red, im still left with unmatched

Orange/white on modifry
and pink/black & blue/white on alpine.

Btw the solid orange wire on Alpine matched the solid orange wire on modifry.

Unfortunately the SCV(speed volume control) part is out of stock at modifry untill november, so ill add it later.

red goes to red, yellow goes to yellow.
there are two wires in a honda harness that controls illumination -
orange and orange/white. one of those two goes to your alpine,
the other is unused and should be taped off with electrical tape.
probably you have it right with both oranges together and orange/white
unused.
there should be a wire coming from the DCI itself rather than the harness
adapter which is for the hardwired mute option, presumably that goes to the
pink/black "audio interrupt" alpine wire.
the blue/white "remote" wire on your alpine harness would go to an external amp
if you have one;' otherwise tape it off too.

the pink/black wire on the Alpine mutes the stereo if you were to receive a phone call, if you have hands free built into your car. the blue/white wire gets connected to your amplifier, if you have one, to turn it on when the stereo is turned on.

Hmm...thanks for your response guys. it all makes sense.

Now, i connected modifry BLACK to alpine BLACK, should I instead connect it to ground somewhere? or will the stereo itself be grounded somehow?

I just checked my harness, and here's how I set things up.
Orange/white to the orange. This dims the Alpine lights.

Pink/black to the bright blue wire (this is in the Modifry harness). This interrupts the music when you hit the mute button on the dash.

Grey in the Modifry harness to your speed input, which is behind the passenger dash panel. This will increase the HU volume with speed.

Good luck.
