this is what i already ordered. should all be in within a week

1) 10in JL w6v2 subwoofer

2) 500/1 JL amp (for sub)

3) 300/2 JL amp for highs/mids

4) Focal 165K2 6.5" Polykevlar Component

5) Pioneer DEH-P9600MP (I LOVE THIS HEADUNIT)


will this all work together? how well will it sound? input please

o yea. i haven't ordered the focals yet. i'm not sure which one to get...i haven't decided yet.

how are the 165V2Slim - Focal 6.5" Polyglass Shallow Component?
is there a big difference between these and the 165K2?

Everything looks great....except....You might want to ask other members, but that HU looks like it might have issues with the radio door.

That will be an awesome setup, but that wouldn't be my first choice for a HU.

i also have concerns about the head unit and that radio door.


the V2 slim and K2's are a notable upgrade. the K2's will blow you away. they can fit into the door, but will need some TLC and a spacer.

How exactly do you provide TLC to an electronic component oh wise one???

I have that unit, except not the fancy colored one...head unit will fit and will slide open but dont count on that radio door closing...

There are a couple ways you can install the HU, either have it stick out a little so when the face slides down it will not hit the bottom of the radio panel or have it sit in, cut the bottom of the radio panel and maybe let the radio door close...

I'd prefer not cutting and leaving the door down.

thanx everyone. o yea, i didn't get the focals. instead i got S600a - Diamond Audio HEX 6.5" Components W/Aluminum Tweeter. the focal K2 are apparently no longer manufactured. o well. i'll post more once i get everything in and have it all installed in about a week or two.
