I was looking at www.obd-2.com... does anyone have experience with their product? Can someone explain to me what exactly is the difference between the regular ISO model and the IMAX other than a LED? Do I need the ITRAN?

thanks

I don't know what the difference is, I just bought the regular ISO model. I don't know much about OBD yet but hope to learn. I liked the fact that this unit didn't have a "box" for the interface, just a cable. There may be a small PC board in the connector but I haven't had it apart yet to be sure.

I was able to connect and read the DTC and reset the CEL by using the software, but have not had time to really play with it.

i just called and found that the only difference between the regular iso model and the ITRAN one is that is allows the user to connect it to the USB adapter.... and the iMAX model is just better connector with an LED status light

And you call yourself and engineer!? What kind of self-respecting engineer doesn't immediatly dissasemble something less than 5 minutes out of the box? (Unless you unbox while you are still in the car driving home.)

Wow, I am so disapointed in you Modifry. :lowersandshakeshead:

Have you considered the Car Chip?

Car Chip

I've been pretty happy with it. You can log other OBDII parameters, as well as, pull and reset trouble codes.
