Default OEM CD Player not working all of a sudden

I've been able to find a few threads with guys having almost the same problem but mine is a little different than some, because some will power up but not work etc.

Well mine magically just shut off when driving down the road, nothing on screen at all BUT when you push the eject button you can hear it working. I replaced the fuse, but still no worky . I read where some unhooked the battery and still nothing, so didnt try that method yet since seemed not to work for anyone else.

Any ideas? I really dread having to pull the unit out because its soooo flipping cold but if i'm gonna go through that hassle I might as well put an aftermarket one in while going through the hassle but would rather not right now because it works well worked just fine.

Thanks in advance for any help guys, and i'm sorry for making a thread about this since there is one just a few spots down about his not working but seems to be a little different case. I always try not to make a thread to repeat stuff a million times thats been posted before but just cant find anything out

I understand the cold(same here), but its really only a few screws holding it in. I'd say in under 5 minutes I could have mine outta the car.

I would just double check the connectors in the back. Some how something may have come unplugged.

there are actually two relevant fuses - #9 and #22 in the under-dash
fusebox - check them both

yeah, im gonna have to say fuse on this thread also because i changed the fuse like 3 or 4 times when it went out on my car. Got a new fuse, drive for a bit then it would blow(shut off automatically). Change again and blow again.
