Default OEM Disc Changer

Can the OEM Honda disc changer it fit under the front seats? Anyone have it mounted anywhere else besides the trunk? Is there a better disc changer out there thats slim and is compatible to the stock HU??

Just picked up my 10 month old German spec 2001 S2000 today (whoo hoo) & I've got an OEM 6 disc changer under the driver seat. I was looking in the trunk for the changer when the original owner pointed this out...

UPDATE

I decided to get an Alpine CHM-S630. But they sent me the wrong unit...they sent me an Alpine CHM-S634. (Thats the A-net unit with MP3 playback)

Freaked out I wasnt sure it would work on my stock 02 unit. Rest asure IT WORKS. CD-R/CD-RW and MP3 playback. Only thing is with MP3 playback I dont get the CD text on screen.

Had to get two adapters. Thanks for all the help guys.

I just ran across this topic and I'm interested in finding out how I can hook up the Alpine CHA-S634 to the OEM head unit. I think i read somewhere that you need two adapters: one from AiNet to M Bus and also M Bus to Honda HU, but I've seen some posts from users that said they tried it and it didn't work.
Can someone who has done this perhaps tell me what parts/accessories are needed to do this?
Perhaps some pointers on install as well?

TIA.

I would PM 2Ting since he has already done the install himself.
