Default OEM Radio Specifications

Hey everyone,

I've searched the whole site, but couldnt find anything.

What are the exact radio and speaker specs of an 00 - 01 S2000?

4 x 50w? 1 input? 0 input?

2 x 25w?

I am very curious!

Thanks everyone!

No inputs. No RCA outputs.

Probably about 8watts per channel (x4)

bottom line = the suck.

From an older post:

2001 39100-S2A-A01 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (20WX4) (MATSUSHITA) $717.40

2002 39100-S2A-A10 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (30WX4) (ALPINE) $668.43
2003 39100-S2A-A10 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (30WX4) (ALPINE) $668.43

2004 39100-S2A-A70 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (30WX4) (CLARION)
2005 39100-S2A-A70 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (30WX4) (CLARION)

2006 39100-S2A-A90 TUNER ASSY., AUTO RADIO (??WX?) (CLARION) $905.95
But I don't believe it.

I just installed an Alpine 9883 this weekend and was complety shocked by the change in sound quality.

Stock really does suck. After the install, the stock speakers produced decent sound.. at least a 300% improvment.

no $700 really is about correct, i had someone break into my civic a year back, and i claimed insurance, and they gave me 600+ for my factory deck.....even though i had an aftermarket one

I think its 30 watts total, not per channel. It has to be.

like i said. 8watts RMS lol (i am not 100% but that probably about sums it up)

30 would be the PEAK power, which is basically useless.

I also noticed QUITE an improvement by simply changing the headunit yet retaining the factory speakers.
