Default OEM Security System

It appears the Security System (Accessory) Main Unit is mounted under the drivers seat. How does one get to it to make adjustments and change the Arming Mode?

For those that have this accessory, where was the Status LED mounted?

Thanks,

Steve

The LED for the OEM alarm is IN the instrument cluster to the right of the MPH display.

As for making any adjustments to the unit under the driver's seat, not sure. For me, I'd have the dealer who installed it make the adjustments.

To alternate between silent mode or horn sounding when arming / disarming, that info is in the alarm manuel. If I recall correctly, you simply have to press the "unlock" and "trunk/option" fobs at the same time and hold for 2 seconds to alternate between silent and horm.

For us non my04-05 owners, I had to drill a spot next to my E brake.

Use a flashlight and a mirror and a small pick for making adjustments under the seat. Save the headache of removing the seat.

My '00 alarm system LED was behind the e-brake on the console. I did the '04 console mod and have disconnected the LED status light for now. I may re-install it in under the sliding cover...........? Maybe.

The dealer who put the alarm in my '05 indicates Honda did away with the LED status light. Does that sound plausible? In reading the documentation I see a lot of the feed back information is relayed through the LED. Why get rid of it?

Thanks,

Steve

If it was a factory alarm the led is in the guage assembly as noted.
Depending on the number of flashes it will indicate what sensor was tripped (trunk, door, hood, etc.)
