Hi everybody, so I have had my s2000 for about a year now and it does not even have the oem alarm, i figure it would be a good idea to set up at least some sort of security system.

I have an older alarm system which is a hornet 554t, it came off of my brothers old integra before he sold it. I know having an older alarm system would mean less features and less protection but I think its better than not having an alarm at all. From what i understand this has a 2 way pager remote, shock sensor, and window regulators.

so my question is, should i just spend the extra cash on the newer alarm systems? from my research, there does not seem to be that many more features in the new systems, possibly longer range, proximity sensor,and automatic start (which im not interested in), maybe i left something out. let me know what you guys think. btw im in socal, and from what ive read a guy named art Nsxnext1 is the person to go to for installs, however he hasn't pmed me back, maybe his inbox is full anyone know if he still does installs?
