To shed some light....
Rat is just different, in terms his definition of subwoofer, is something that can rattle the concrete your car is standing on. Its not about tightness, its about loudness.

I feel that we are all on one page, and he is on another. The "rapper" community puts 12s and 15s not because they are clean, but because they pound.

[QUOTE=S2000RAT,Mar 17 2005, 05:10 PM] This is too much. You all need to go to a sound quality event this summer. Let me know how many of them are running "8" SUBS". You will not see one unless you stop at Walmart on the way.

S2000Rat, what frequencies that are important to you are played by a 12" or 15", but cannot be played by an 8" driver?

Can you just tell me the frequencies you are concerned with? It will help me understand your posts better.

You can just give them to me in Hz for convenience.

I think the RAT would be appaled at my old-school home subwoofer setup.

It's a Swedish Audiopro B2-50 and it has speakers soo small it would make him think it was an odd bookshelf speaker.

Now, I can't shake every inch of the house with it but that's not it's job. It's job is to fill the room it's in, which it does well.

Bigger isn't better if you don't need it. In dealing with speakers it starts to become a liability sometimes.

OMG your such a retard...Rat you are a Troll and as such please leave... at least this forum. I don't care how long you've been here you can't get your story straight.
and since you bring it up nice PPD .5

I think I'll let a few others respond to this and then I'm going to lock it, just because I just can't deal with you giving advise about something you clearly do not understand properly.

BTW go ahead and knock my sub if you need to(if it makes you feel better), you clearly know nothing about me either

8" is not a sub
8" is not big enough to be a sub
get a real "sub" like a 12" or 15" for your low frequencies

The problem isn't about opinion. It's that you flately stated that an 8" isn't a sub, which is wrong. An 8" setup is fully capable of producing sounds below the 100Hz range.

If you had come out and said, "I hate 8" subs. I won't use anything less than XX" then that would have been fine and people would have also stated their opinions about it.

Instead you state it as fact and then taunt people about getting frustrated with your incorrect statement.

You don't like them. Great! Why not just say that.

This must be a joke. Either that, or you can't comprehend English. Go read the defintion of Internet Troll again. I'll wait, go ahead. Now, see there is no mention of time. There's only mention of people who post things to incite other people.

It is painfully obvious to everyone but you that you are ignoring common sense. It is now also clear that you are taking joy in beind a public nuisance and being a negative effect on the community.

Have a nice day. I think you have overstepped your welcome here.
