Opinions on component speakers please!.. Infinity Perfects??
It's been suggested to me to get everything from MB Quarts to Bostons to Infinity... I have a chance to get the Perfects for a good price and was wondering what everyone's opinions are of these as opposed to some of the lower end quarts and bostons.
Thanks

My first opinion is that YOU should find a shop where you can LISTEN to them all. Preferrably alongside one and other, but you may have to visit a couple of places. They are all three great manufacturers, and all make speakers at several pricepoints. But when it comes right down to it, it's how they sound to YOU that makes the difference. You will get a million different answers to this question, and only confuse yourself further in the longrun.
ie: "what about Focal, or a/d/s/, etc..."
Good luck

Yes I agree... It is really a personal preference. However, from my experience, most cars but not all, usually have Focal or A/D/S as their front stage speakers when competing at events like IASCA. Those are the usual winners. MB Quarts are nice, but they are a bit "bright" for a lot of people. I have had Soundstream, A/D/S and Focal over the years and loved all of them. I have Focal 6 1/2" polykevlar K2's in my S now and they sound awesome!!! The tweeter is behind the door grill too so very well hidden and looks totally stock still. You can get these on ebay for about $400. Retail price is about $700 for these.... They like a lot of power by the way - at least 50 W from a high quality amp.
