Opinions on Infinity Reference 6022i
So I've set aside ~$500 for a new system. So far I have planned:
Alpine 9885 + Modifry DCI
Infinity Reference 6022i
I've heard nothing but great things about the Infinity lineup. My question is, how do the 6022i compare to other coaxials in this price range ($100) ie Polk DB651 or Boston Acoustic S65RC?
The reason I don't want to add an amp/component speakers is because honestly, the stock system sounds fine to me. I'm just looking to replace the ugly stock headunit. Also, I don't want to have to deal with running wires. Plug and play
Thanks for your help!

most internal headunit amps require speakers with 4-ohm impedence.
many of the current Infinitys are 2-ohm, so shop carefully

Exactly what I was going to say. Without an amp, the Kappas really won't be able to sing so they would be a waste of money. The Reference series sound great (I just talked about this in another thread) but watch the impedance. The 6022i has a 2 ohm impedance which is not compatible with that head unit. Get the 6012i instead; it has the same power handling but with a 4 ohm impedance. They're also $40 cheaper per pair.
