I have the 6" Diamond Audio with Tweeters mounted like the 02 S2000. Sounds better than the paper speakers on the OEM S2000 audio set up. DVD Navigation next.

MB quart is nice, but unless you wanna join the competition, I think MB quart isn't the one you wanna spend the money on..!! they are extremely expensive for that little performace gain..!!

Me for example wanna go with a/d/s 346is .... if I am going with MB quart, I will go with PSD instead of QSD..

What a perfect topic for me! The speakers I am considering right now are:

MB Quarts PSD 216
Infinity Perfect 6.1
JL XR650
Focal 165k2

I can find all these under $300 on the web except for the Focals($350). Which one would be the best choice or is there a better choice for the same price range?

Thanks, Kumar.

however, those speakers you mentioned are good enough for the S2000 IMO...
good luck with your installation..
i think the qsd216 is mb's top of the line speaker. you'd be hard pressed to find it under $500. the prices for the psd that he's listing are reasonable.

as for speaker selection. i'd opt for the extra $50 and go for the focals (just make sure they fit).

First off there are three lines of MB speakers.

The
D discus series. good middle of the road speaker can be driven by the stock head unit.
The R series Very nice lower class comp speaker must be run with external amp.
Q series what I was running before i switched back to the R series.
These things absolutly kick ass. They need a huge clean amp to power then IE read expensive.

I switched back to the R as I did not like carring around ~2000 doller's worth of PPi amps in the trunk in city heights.
