my buddies 98 oldsmobile has a problem with the radio.

due to a non-working aftermarket radio he had to re-splice his OEM rado back in.

now it works perfect in "ACC" but the volume is all screwy and the screen doesnt display with the key "ON" or with the car running.

sounds like you should spend the $20 bucks for the shop manual you can buy online. Then just match up the color wires correctly... course the harness should never have been cut in the first place.

 

yeah give him a good for not spending the $4 on the harness adapter at walmart
