I need to purchase some stereo equipment so I can provide music at football tailgate parties I travel to.
Cost is a huge factor and I have to keep them low.
I will need to be able to play CD's, plug in a MP3 player, and have a AM/FM tuner.
We take a generator so power is not an issue.
I have seen speakers that can be elevated on stands and that would be nice to have so I can project at a higher level and not kill the people right in front.
Need the system to be as compact as possible as space is limited in my cargo trailer.
Here are some pictures of are tailgates to give a perspective on space-
I would just get a nice set of surround sound speakers, and hook them up to a car amplifier (I know its kinda ghetto, but if price is the all-consuming issue). That way you can get a nice system for the Pilot in the picture as well . Just get a system with a 5-CH amp, and get a 5-CH speaker set (with wattage ratings in the same ballpark). Show up, unhook car wires, plug in surround speaker wires, and you are good to go. You could probably do all of this for under $1500, and have a great car system when you are done.
