Default Painting MDF Speaker Brackets

My MDF speaker brackets are ready to be painted... is there any particluar type of paint to use?

I removed mine last year and added some baskets to prevent water ingress through the speaker grills and spray painted them silver to match the doors. You won't see them so it doesn't really matter...

yeah carpet will give a better seal and reduce resonance within the door panel...

and that's before your cat finds out that it's there or you live where it rains :-)
