What are you trying to do? Are you trying to turn something on when you turn the headlight switch to ON? There is no power tap under the hood for this without splicing into the actual light wires.
If all you want to do is to turn something on with your headlight switch, use the empty power tap under the dash that powers ON with lights.

see the wire they give you isn't long enough, it won't reach the cabin unless you add wire to it.

Then add a wire to it using an inline crimp connector. You need to improvise. Aftermarket parts don't always give you what you need to complete an installation for any specific car.
Frank, if you're looking for a constant power source, the battery works well. If you are looking for something switched on with the parking lights just tap into the parking light wire. You can of course do what xviper mentioned as well, although I am not sure how big of a PITA getting a single wire through the firewall is.

its very easy. all you do is tape the wire to a screw driver and push it through the hood cable gromit in the fire wall. it will drop the wire right above the clutch.
