Default Passenger Footwell SubWoofer

Does anyone know if 2Big4aS2000 is still making subwoofer enclosures and speaker systems for the S2000? He was in Florida, if i recall, when I got mine from him.

I do not have an answer to your question, but wanted to say the footwell subwoofer is the absolute best in terms of sound quality in the S2000. No rattles and sounds great!

I hope you can get in touch with him for whatever you may need.

What about those small flat powered subwoofer, do any of them fit under either of the seats?

Sort of. It'll only fit drivers side, and it'll stick out a little at front of seat.

Other option is upright, behind the seat.

Lastly, I put mibe under passenger footwell carpet. Carved out a hole in the white foam thats under there for it to fit into. It ends up being about .5" taller than foam at the top. Can't see it or notice it.

I bought one of these, can confirm fit under passenger (UK) / LEFT seat. wont shake your fillings out but fills the sound in nicely. also like that its an all-in-one with inbuilt amp (class D so doesnt get too hot)
ran the wires throught the ceentre console and out the bottom of the behind seat vent panels, totally invisble and reversible install with no fabbing or cutting of panels ect. the seat goes all the way back but a few clicks short of all the way forward. the lip of the floor mat stops it sliding forwards, the shape of the seat stops it sliding back.
Amazon Amazon
look around though, amazon £125 i got for £100 delivered.

Given that I almost never have anyone in the passenger seat, I might just attach one of those self powered flat subwoofers to the top of the passenger-side footwell and maybe cover it with some black automobile carpet. I, and speaking about myself only, would never cut into the car's sheet metal to install a subwoofer.

I would rather go the under the seat route first. As to installing behind the seat, maybe at the very bottom of the panel behind the seats, installed horizontally? Would anyone have any photos of their install to share? Cheers.

I've tried a few of the small powered subs and found them to be a little underwhelming. The downsides of the footwell sub are losing some legroom, removing the foam wedge and having to trim the passenger carpet a tiny bit for the best fit. If anyone is in the Atlanta area, I'm happy to let the sub go for a reasonable price as I'd been planning to remove the driver and drop it into a new enclosure in the trunk.

Pioneer now makes a powered sub for this very type of install. They call it a footwell sub. Meant to install in passenger footwell above passenger feet in smaller cars.

But it'd fit with zero cabin intrusion by fitting into the white foam wedge under our passenger carpet.

Not suitable for anyone that wants more than just to fill in bottom end and take load off door mids. Use built in hu hpf to filter out sub frequencies from door mids. Will allow cranking volume higher before distortion sets in.
