Have decided to install the SRX in my new Blk/Red S2K. I will be installing this with the help of a buddy who was an installer at a car electronics store for several years. We are pretty certain we can sort this out, but would appreciate details from anyone who has done it before. Couple of questions:

1) Anyone have a source for the unit at a good price? I have been offered one for $850, but hope I can do better. I PMed andrewewing re: his post on a source for $650.

2) Has anyone installed this unit themselves? If so, can you provide any details on:
- Front sensor mounting position and attach method. Especially interested in front to rear position/depth. (I assume that they are mounted on the horizontal front grill slats, but which ones, where left to right, how attached and how deep?) Of course pictures would be great. The photos from BADUBET's older post are unavailable...
- Did you find/use an existing hole in the firewall to run the front sensor wires into the cockpit? If so, can you describe where? Pics?
- If not and you had to drill a hole in the firewall, where and how big?
- Where did you locate your Display Controller in the cockpit? My first choice is the steering column, but at only 5'9" I am concerned that I won't be able to see any idiot lights on the bottom of the instrument pod over the controller. Anyone about my height check this out?

3) I know that not many cops will recognize the rear laser sensor mounted on the license plate, but over time I suspect they will learn. Has anyone worked on another location or a way to visually mask that sensor?
