Wow, that s2000 plexi cover looks so nice.

If only plexi was not so expensive. Oh well.

Very nice set up.

Did you need to modfiy the HU mounting at all to get the clarion unit in? Did it just mount directly to the factory brackets?

The sub is a JL W6. I am not sure about the brackets, we did have to cut the plastic in the radio door for it to close. The volume button sticks out a little too much. I will post that pic later. The installer took apart the radar display and mounted it into the mirror. We had to get an aftermarket mirror because it would not fit into the stock mirror. He made an oval circle on the right to better see the display. He put the volume and controls in the bottom. I have been hit with laser twice and the system worked great. You slam on the brakes to the posted speed limit and hit the remote mute twice and it will disable the shifter. The cop hits you again and gets a speed reading of your choice. Sorry about the delay, I have been under the weather the last couple of days. I will try to get some more pics and info this weekend.

Holy Snapp'in buttholes Batman! Mounted it in the mirror! What did you do, offer this guy your first male born? Geezz I'd not wanted to be handed the bill for this install.

Well Matt, all I can say is PICs of this should be forthcoming.

I 'think' what your saying here is he bought a new (thicker) mirror and took that apart.

Completely DIS-assmebled the small display unit, took each part, volume/on/off switch, two prgrammable buttons, speaker from the original small plastic housing box and somehow mounted them UNDER (behind) the rear view glass ???

I've got to see this !

This is a great idea.. I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around how one would go about clearing the refelective material on the glass backing in a way that would be uniform(square and round wise) to be able to dislplay the information and still look like a guy that walks upright did it.

It's a great idea though.. I wish I'd thought of it first.
