PJK3's Odyssey Project - DONE!
Great work buddy.....but forget the system pics....I want to see your finger.
The TV looks awesome, and the work is really clean. I knew youd pull it off. How does it sound on the inside????

Very nice work Philip. I can't wait to hear the long term progress report on that Boston amp.
As far as the finger, all I can say is ............ Nothing, but he should have known better.
Although he can truly tell his wife the install took Blood, Sweat, and Tears.
Dave -- sound is great. it's so much easier to get good sound when you're not dealing with a cloth top and you actually have some body insulation...
i haven't had a really good demo time with it yet -- only a few songs, so it's hard to really lay down judgement, but it's got a solid sound all in all.
no finger pics...
mostly it's staying wrapped in bandages now, and when it does come out, it's all wrinkled looking with flaps of skin here and there... not impressive at all.
Jim -- Dave (one of the guys helping me the first day) later commented -- all good installs involve a blood sacrifice to the stereo gods. apparently the bigger and better the install, the more blood required.
John -- well, i didn't take many pictures in the post injury phase to mostly finished stages... i was trying to keep momentum while i had help. if you're really really curious, i can pull down the screen to get a picture.
the bracket was rectangular - slightly larger than the hole i cut (which is useless as there is no sense of scale). it had a open center w/ 4 inset nuts for the screen/bracket interface. the rest of the rectangle had various slots for screw locations...
did that help at all?
also -- thanks for the many compliments... hopefully, i'll get some natural light pics soon which will help.

no -- reserving that area for groceries, luggage, the stroller, and the like. the 12" is getting around 400-500 Wrms as best i can figure (Alphasonik doesn't have published numbers for mono @ 4ohms), which is pushing the W3 about as far as i can go... it hits hard and is more than enough for the wife.
