Please DELETE should I go ahead and buy a new
Good afternoon gents,
Recently completed a auto-dim mirror swap complete with new button for the new mirror mount. Everything went on perfectly except for one tiny detail...
New mirror was mounted to high. I put the mount in the same place as the original, but the new mirror is a tad thicker then the old one and ends up whacking the trim when it gets re-installed on the window frame.
I used the old magic, pin-point heating method on the OEM mirror button and it worked like a charm to pull it off.
But I am wondering if the new glue I used (permatex two part windshield catalyst) is superman resistant and is going to cause me serious grief if I try to flame it off like the original honda glue and I should simply expect to crack the windshield in the process no matter what, with this new glue.
Experiences anyone?
