Your character is meng? Dreamer?

The new compact one:
TS-WX010A

The one I used:
TS-WX130DA

Here is a pic of installed:

Photo exaggerates it, but you can see a bulge in mat. That is tip of sub, which protudes past original floor contour by a little more than half inch. Look just to right of dead center of photo.

The mat also doesn't sit flat on left side, but that is due to using too much sound deadener under carpet. Again, photo exaggerats, doesn't bother me.

Thanks for your post a few months ago about that newer one! Here is the newer gen installed. You just have to cut out the foam to shape (I wish i took more time precisely cutting but it fits really close to flush and sounds fantastic after the break-in period. At the time in January, it was cheaper to buy from Japan on ebay than any US retailer. Not sure if that's still the same story but love mine.

Wow, nice!

Did you remove the white foam wedge to cut it?

Did you also carve out the thick pad under the foam wedge? Its about an inch thick.

So how much bass does this little speaker actually produce? About equal to a single 10"?

Yep I had to cut into the thick black foam pad below as well.

Think more of a 8". These are drastically smaller than a 8" woofer with enclosure even. No mirror rattling type of bass here. Think of it just filling in to your door woofers working less hard.

I've been wondering about an under the seat sub option for a while now. I found the post below, but it's from 2018. Looks like a few of these subs listed are still available or may have a newer version. I'd love to have a sub that gave nice thump when desired but don't want to see it or lose any storage space. Really hoping an under the seat option works.

@djbobbless

Are you getting much heat from the subwoofer being mounted in the foam wedge. I know class D amps don't generate much heat, but I'm curious if you are experiencing any.

I have an Alpine PWE-S8 that should fit in the footwell, but I'm a little concerned about heat if I cut into the foam core and then cover it with the carpet and a mat.

Thanks in advance.

Nothing alarming towards heat so far from what I've experienced. I don't drive the car much although to say.

I really like my Panasonic powered subwoofer’s. I have one for my civic and for my S 2000. It fits under the driver side seat. Just know that if you’re tall, it will prevent you from going one or two clicks back all the way.
PIONEER TS-WH500A Hvt Sealed 8.25" 150W Active Subwoofer, 150W Max Power (50W Nominal) https://a.co/d/4CVh3ZI. When I get rid of my civic, I’m putting two of them underneath the convertible top where the spare goes.
