Going to replace my front speakers, put a pair of Lucid's speakers in the back, put a new headunit in, and then supply power with a 250 X 2 (Max) Amp. I could use some suggestions on what headunit and speakers to use.

 

There is a lot more to it than just what you put down. Are you going to do separates up front or just coax? Then why such a big amp and only 2 channels. You will surely have different speakers front and back and you probably don't want them having the same volume. Plus thats a lot of power..........you probably only need to supply each speaker with 75-80 watts RMS/150 peak for a really nice set of speakers.

Head units........Pioneer/JVC are my tops right now. It changes yearly with every new model year that comes out. Others that I like are Panasonic and Clarion. Ones I stay far away from are Jensen, Kraco, Alpine, Sony, Eclipse, Kenwood, Awia........and especially Rockford!

 

i don't think you could really go wrong with pioneer...they're always a good reliable choice to go with...i would definately recommend staying away from kenwood...they always suck ass and esp the higher models with the flip over faces...they always break down for one thing or another.
