Probably a silly question...
I'm having a little trouble getting my CD deck out. It really confounds me as I had no problem last time.
Anyway, I've got the trim piece pulled off and I'm to wear the screws are holding the deck in place. The bottom two screws came out no problem, but the top two screws spin and spin, but aren't seem to be caught in any threads, so they don't come out. However, I also can't pull out the deck at all. It won't budge even a bit.
Any ideas?

So the screws turn but don't actually back out?
Stripped clip/nut whatever they go into?
Maybe a really small flat heat (a bit probably) to put some force on the screws while turning them? By force I mean force in the direction they need to go - towards you.

I'll give your suggestion a try. It's just tough because of the limited space you're forced to work in while in there. But thank you, I'll let you know how it works.

Exactly, they turn, but don't back out. It just seemed strange that the bottom screws had no problem, but both of the top ones got stuck like this.

Hmm I was just looking at some of my old pics, on my car it looks like there's a metal fastener of some type behind it, either a nut or a clip. If it's a clip it probably just came off it's mount when you started turning, kind of like how a nut will turn when you turn a bolt. If that's the case this might be a PITA. I've never tried to access it from behind, put maybe if you remove the side triangle shaped panels you can visually inspect it?
Well, I finagled with it for awhile, then put the bottom two screws back in, and huzzah, the top ones caught on their threads and started to back out.
So I got all the screws out, and now I can't get the Kenwood SW1 to work. I'm freakin' hopeless when it comes to audio stuff.

the same thing happened to me with one of the screws for the H/U, i think the clip things on the back for the screws suck bad or something.
I'm just glad I got all the stuff accomplished today that I wanted to.
