Default Problems with Lucid

Hello , i am a member from Greece and i am a little frustrated about a situation. 3 months ago i wanted to upgrade the stereo in my S2000 , so i ordered a 9857 , an ipod and a set of rear speakers (kenwood). The 9857 and the ipod i got them from ebay , no problems and the kenwood i ordered them from Lucid automotive who were really helpfull at first (until my order was completed). My order was about 230$ and i immediately payed through credit card. Usually products from the US ,arrive 7-10 days after the posting of the items.

3 weeks after the order i emailed them and they said i should wait a little more. No tracking number was given. Then another 3 weeks after , they told my i should call my post office to see if they have something on my name. I called the post office for another 2 weeks almost every day , they never had anything. Then all of a sudden i got an email from Lucid that they will be sending a new item. I was kind of happy for that , BUT i told them that i am willing to pay a little more so we can have a tracking number on the order. Never got a response on that and a few days later they emailed me that the new item was shipped on October 31st and i should be getting it in 4-5 days!!! Well it's November 20th and i still don't have anything on my hands plus they don't reply to my emails anymore.

Personally i believe they never shipped anything. Especially the second time , i said i would cover the expenses for a tracking number and still they didn't accept. I am opening this topic , if anybody on the forum is local to them or they know them personally to get in touch with them so we can settle this. I am very dissapointed about the whole deal and never got a problem with other orders. I have ordered from E-autosports , Invision,modifry and other guys and got my items on time. I also have a 100% in ebay as a buyer , i always pay on time. I think the only way to settle it is either to refund me or really send the items with a tracking number this time ( i am still willing to cover the additional cost)

Thanks for the bump, i wonder the same thing as you. Do you think i should ask a mod to move the topic somewhere else so can it can be seen from more people ?

I didn't phone them. Frankly i don't see the point to that. Things are obvious. They check their emails but they don't have anything to reply plus phone calls from Greece to US are kind of expensive. If i do call them propably i'll get reassured they will take care of it and time will go pass but nothing will happen. I will try to keep this topic up till i find someone who knows them or till they reply here.

to the best of my knowledge, Lucid hasn't been a site sponsor in years.

regretfully, i'm not sure how much they even check this site anymore. i can't recall the last time i saw Lucid post.

for a long time, he was very active here, but i seem to recall he had some personal sickness issues, and i don't recall seeing him much since.

i do know that he had some friends/family who were helping him keep the business up, but they were doing it part time and thus some of the delays.

Jim was always committed to making his customers happy, so i encourage you to keep in touch with them.

My experience Lucid was also positive. I had one of my rear speaker panels off by a couple of tenths of a mm. I emailed him and he overnighted a new panel to me.

I ordered 4 speakers & a wire harness from them a few yrs. ago & had no problems.
Contact them, I'm sure they will respond.
