The PS2 will not fit over top the fuel tank. Depth is not the problem- height is.

NFR- I didn't know the PS2 could operate with the tray going straight up. Not that I'm an expert, but I could have sworn someone told me it could only be used horizontally or stood up w/ the tray opening to the side.

Hmm......never thought of that, however....I dont think it should be a problem.

Well, the best way would be this. You have to have some knowledge of computers. I will do this later on when I have a 100% show car. The PS2 is essentially a computer. The cd drive where the games go (actually a DVD drive) is just that.....A DRIVE. THis means that there is a cable connecting it to the main unit. I am going to take apart my ps2, put the "unit" in the trunk, and the drive in the cabin. I know it can be done, because a shop I know did this....they were the first ones to ever do it.

I might put it in the secret compartment, the smaller one

I agree with you on the separating of the two components. Seen it done. Tight. I asked my shop about it way back when. I don't remember the exact response, but I recall something about lining the pickup lasers up that might be a challenge. Does that sound right?

I've already agreed to purchase an extra secret compartment/glove box from a local member to try something. I pick it up tomorrow or Saturday. Originally, I wanted the disc tray to be remote-located in the plastic piece where a "normal" glovebox would be- directly in front of the passenger.

i would bet good money, that given time, motivation, and some flexibility, that i could get an X-Box in the secret compartment... i would have to gut the main box, custom fab a lot of stuff, move various components around to different hiding spots - but i think it could be done...

then again, doing all that work for playing racing games on a 7" screen in a fairly tight 2 seater cabin is pretty lame...

i'll keep my Xbox at home, where it belongs.
