Default Qube instrument panel off until I turn the lights on

So, I did the DIY kit and followed the directions to a tee. It seems to work wonderfully...once I turn the lights on (won't illuminate when off). Also, it appears as though I can't use the + or - to do any dimming. Anyone have an idea as to what could be causing it? I tried to contact them but no joy.

My WAG is you have cross-wired the power supply tap. Instead of ON, you tapped the line to HEADLIGHT ON.

Just a WAG. Good luck!

Yeah sounds like you plugged the power into the wrong spade on the fuse box

I wish it was that. I checked, and it is on the ignition spade.

Sounds like a short, bad board, or crossed wire. Most likely the issue has been seen before. There are lots of these out there; I have installed 3. Try giving them a call. They know more about their product and historical issues then anyone here: 818.271.QUBE (7823).

I finally had a chance, and they are sending out a new board. It does look good when its on. I just cant see myself having to turn them on constantly.

Don't mean to piggy back off your thread, but how did you contact them to purchase the kit?

I've messaged them on FB a few weeks ago and have yet to get a reply
