Default Question about Diamond Audio Components

Just two quick questions:

1) I'm not quite sure which size front components I need. Do I need the 5 1/4 or 6 1/2?
So if I were to get the Hex series would I want:

or

http://cgi.ebay.com/DIAMOND-AUDIO-S500S-HE...1QQcmdZViewItem

2) Second question what type of amp will I need to power these? 2 channel? How much wattage? Any good suggestions? I was looking at audison or zapco but those are money. Any other good amps there?

I have 2001 AP1 and I don't think I will get a sub anytime soon.

Thanks.

The Hex series Diamonds sound good. S600 6.5's, but youll need baffles/spacers for them. A 300 watt 2 channel amp should do. Try Diamond Amps also, if bought and installed from a dealer, they have a lifetime warranty.

If you can get your hands on Audison or Zapco at a decent price, jump on it. I run 2 Audison amps and there outstanding.

Thanks for the info. Where's a good place to get the baffles and spacers and is there a certain type I need?

Order them online, Metra makes some or you can build them out of wood yourself.

I'm running mine with a MBQ RAA4200 with the rears bridged to on JL10w6. Sounds amazing, no need for rear speakers.

Just wondering if there is any need for a 4 channel amp?? I am looking at getting a set of Hex series speakers as well and the guy i was talkin to said that i should go with the D5 600.4 amp over the D5 300.2 amp so that i can run a full channel of power to the tweets as well as the mids. Should i seriously look into something like this??

Dont bother.....they are 99.9% the same. If you have an exaust on your car, you wont even hear the difference...top down, forget it.
