A question about Ipod it self, probalem with the ipod
Finally I recieved the 15gig Ipod today. It was a bonus from my job place. Anyway The unit is great I love the way it looks, its all nice chrome on the back, the buttons are touch buttons and the scroll thing is just beatifull. Now I installed it to my comp today but I am having some issues. Before I did anything I upgraded the ipod op system files from apples website, formatted the units harddisk and made it ready for use. Now When I try to upload songs from Itunes software, in the middle of uploading randomly, it stops and says "unknown error occured -69 ". I try to reupload it and sometimes it uploads that file, sometimes it gets stuck on the same file again. So I remove it from the upload list and everyting is fine but then it stops again at a random music file. Well first I though some of the files I have are like corrupted but then I also realzied its not always the same files. Let say it gives me this error on the michael jackson song, and then when I restart the progress, it gives me the error on the tupac song. So its not like some files causing the ipload the stop, its just completly random. Oh and also couple times the whole computer shut down and restarted it self. Once the ipod crashed and I had to reset it.
Some references to the systme that I am using.
Its p4 2.8 1 gig ram
I connect the ipod thru firewire so it charges it self while its connected to the system.
I have tested the ipod with the files in it and it works great I even used it today for couple hours at the gym.
I tired to format the harddrive several times and it did not correct the error.
I tried to restart and shut down of the system several times and iti did not fix the problem.
The only thing I did not do is to remove the itunes and reinstall it.
I was hpoing someone else here had the same problem andknows how to fix it. I hope it doenst have a bad hard disk or something.

Probably man.And no my comp is fine, I run 2 virus cheks and 1 adware check a week. Its runnig strong actually.
I went to all those forums updated my bios for the firewire connection and even patched my system for via chipset eventhouhg I have Intel chipset. Still same problem.
Right now I am coverting all my cd's to aac files after i am done with that I am gonna try to see if I can find differnt drivers fo rmy firewire port. I think thats the problem, at least everyone on those forums stated above is talking about that.
Is that an aftermarket firewire port? i.e., it didn't come with the computer? It could easily be the driver then, or it could not be getting enough power. Oftentimes aftermarket firewire and USB ports don't provide adequate power to run certain peripherals.
