All of the reviews that I have read are positive. My Van Gogh 800.5 will be installed tomorrow with the rest of the components.

No sub is going in tomorrow. So, I won't be able to comment on that part of the system. I chose Soundtstream because it seemed to be a good bang for the buck amp.

There are a lot of good amps out there. Maybe some other folks could chime in.

oh if i bought a 150 rms amp. but i only want to run 100 then can i do that? is it electronically controlled or something how are these things set?

Yes. You can just reduce gain.

BTW...My system was installed today and even without tuning, It sounds excellent. I will be fine tuning tomorrow and will likely get better results.

Tons more bass with the polks, but I can't wait to get a sub

Very nice clean install at Best Buy of all places. Very reasonble at $221.
