Default Question for sub box builders

question; i'll be building a sub box for my Xterra... using a Pioneer TS-SW2541D shallow mount 10"... it says the recommended internal volume for a sealed box is 0.6 cubic feet, and "The recommended enclosure volumes include speaker displacement".

I'd just like confirmation: this means I can measure the entire volume of the box up to the brim of the cutout hole, and ideally should end up with 0.6 ft^3, correct?

Or, should the volume of the box be 0.6 ft^3 plus the displacement of the sub? I'm confused.

Yeah, sounds like Pioneer has done the hard part for ya. You could always be on the safe side and build your box .65-.7ft^3 and use a little less poly fill.
