My issue was with the sockets themselves.

I bought a new bulb and did electrical contact cleaner on the socket. Haven't had an issue since.

If all your bulbs aren't flashing though - I'd be more suspect of like a fuse or something.

Do your parking lights work when you turn them on from the stalk?

Yes they do, which specific part of the car would you suggest looking at?

Oh wait, by parking lights you mean the ambers? I can't remember, we don't really refer to them as parking lights here. The indicators next to the HID's do work as well as my low beams if that helps at all?

Just ran a full test
On the first notch of the light stalk, I get the rear reds and the front low beams, no amber though.
On second notch of the light stalk, I get HIDs
Whe I press hazards or indicate left and right, the ambers at the front both turn on.

However, when I lock the car, I get nothing but the interior light?

Well you should be getting amber fronts on the first notch of the light stalk. Everything that comes on with the first notch of the light stalk (with the engine turned off) should blink when locking/unlocking with the keyless fob.

Do I need to get a mechanic to look at the problem or is there something I can do myself?

Ha I posted in Electronics and didn't get an answer, every so often my passenger side running light won't blink, and then it will work 3-7 days later. Probably related. Turn your... um... I would call it the stick haha, turn the light stick one notch and see if your "running lights" light up. They are the orange ones and are supposed to light up when locking/unlocking. Doubt it would be different ap1 vs ap2
I've got this same problem- sometimes all of the lights work, sometimes only one flashes or maybe one whole side of the car flashes...total PITA because all of the lights work when turned on.
I've read about the OEM alarm system fuse being removed for 10 mins to reset the system somewhere on a post in the UTH section, but I haven't gotten around to trying that out and have since gotten used to it.
