quick speakers question
So im looking at replacing my front speakers from default and i see that when you buy speakers they usually come in packs with tweeters and shit for the doors, now thats fairly elementary stuff but my question is what do you do with regards to the headrest speakers? Im running 2 amps and sub, but havnt got round to doing the cockpit speakers yet. does anyone know if it worth doing the headrest and with what sort of size? has anyone done this?
sorry if this has been asked before i only had a chance for a quick scan of the forums, busy busy times

the fronts (doors) are 6.5s but most speakers require a small spacer to fit a true 6.5"
search S pods on ebay, those are the brackets for headrest speakers. they can fit up to a 6.5" i believe with a little trimming.
Is one of your amps four channel? the reason i haven't done the S pods yet is because i only have a two channel amp powering my door speakers. if i had a four channel i could just add use the remaining channels and be fine.
as for you very first sentence, you are referring to component speakers, with come with separate drivers, tweeters and typically a crossover assembly.
i run coaxial (tweet and driver on same speaker, no separate crossover) as they are a smaller more convenient package on a car like an S2000. plus, they do not require as much wiring work.
but hands down, you will get better sound with components, hand down.
headrest speakers are just used for "fill", they are not supposed to provide the majority of the volume.
hope the helps

Modifry used to sell replacements for the roll hoops but it doesn't seem like most people generally bother with replacing them. S Pods and other solutions seem to be more common.
