Thumbs up RAAMMat installation...

I started my RAAMMat installation this weekend. I got the trunk done and the passenger door.

I put in a single layer of the mat on the floor of the trunk and a single layer + 1 layer of ensolite (closed cell foam) on the trunk lid. I would have put a layer on ensolite on the trunk floor, but I don't think my trim tabs would hold with more thickness.

Then on the passenger door, I have one layer of mat and 2 layers of ensolite. Door panel fit is tight, but no problems. Driver's side door coming up this weekend.

So far, I can tell the exhaust note noise has dropped considerably and other road noise marginally. Now I have a couple questions for those who have Dynamat'ed or RAAMMat'ed their car:

1) Does my installation sound correct so far in regards to layering?

2) Is it worth taking out the seats and carpet to add a layer to the floor pan? It looks like I'll have enough material.

My camera died after taking photos of the stripped down trunk and I haven't recharged the batteries. Everything really looks identical to the other photos of dynamat, etc installs.

After this is done, I've got some Infinity Kappa Perfect components to install, so I'll have the batteries charged by then.

Did you do the area where the spare sits, directly under the soft top tray?

I did not. I also did not do anything on the area above the gas tank. Should I also cover those areas?

Thats up to you. I am going to be doing my trunk when it warms up a bit and was just wondering if you had done it and what results you got by doing it. I have the Invidia, which surprisingly isn't too loud for me, but I would like to hear more of the exhaust coming from outside the car rather than under if that makes sense. I guess I will start by just dynamatting the whole trunk like you and see how that does. I can always add more mat later.
