I'v got the solo cordless model. It works pretty well. The only issue I've had with it is on hot 100+ temp days I get in my car, if it sits outside and the suction cups can become loose. I actually had it come off a few times. From experience if you're looking for one I would recommend Valentine 1 harwired into the S. A number of members have these and they work nicely.

I have the Passport x50 - hardwired. works great. And the only way to go is to hardwire - very simple. I got the instructions off of s2ki, and it was really easy to do.

Cordless...bleck

Currently on Passport 8500. Works great. Just ordered a V1 today w/concealed display. Just has more features than the 8500. I LOVE the V1(had one before) 8500 for sale.

only buy the V1 from the dealer, do not buy it online. They look similar, but they do not run on the same program or some sort of old technology. I've seen people who placed them over the secret compartment. Left corner on dash by windshield.

Valentine 1 is the only way to go. Not only is it more sensitive (as based upon a long caravan of S's running over the speed limit and the V1s were always the first to pick up the cops), but without the arrows you can end up guessing for just long enough to get caught.

Let's see, how does that saying go? "Once you've tried the arrows, you'll never go back."

how much do these run? I take it your prices will be in USD...I might just take my old mans for the ride up and get one for next summer..as I don't do a lot of highway driving and radar in the city just beeps all the time, and a cop would just write you a ticket for "inconsiderate or reckless driving" even if his radar wasn't on..

this could be a stupid question but do radar detectros need to be on the windshield..if not where should I mount this one the closer to the cig lighter the better! hehe
