Default Radio and Acc. Fuse

I plugged in an air pump into the acc. outlet. My radio was on at the time. The pump stopped (was on and not connected to the tire) and the radio went off at the same time. The anti theft light still blinked but the radio was dead.

I checked the radio fuse (15A) and it was fine. The acc. fuse (10A) had blown. I replaced the fuse and both the radio (after putting in the code) and acc. outlet came back.

Isn't it odd that the radio is on a 15A fuse but is tripped by the 10A acc. fuse?

Granted I didn't have my glasses on at the time, but think that this is what the writing said.

Just did the exact same thing.

I have the service manual, it said to check both the radio fuse and acc fuse if radio doesn't turn on. Checked the circuit diagram, it seems both paths from the radio fuse and acc fuse tie into the audio unit. So I guess if either of these fuses blow the radio doesn't work.

Also why did we burn the fuse in the first place, we were just using air pumps with higher current ratings than are car can handle?
