Radio randomly cut off while driving
Over the past month, I've noticed my radio would cut off randomly while I'm driving. At first, it would occurred during upshifting (usually between 1st and 2nd gear), but recently, it also happened while I'm driving in gear. Otherwise, it is fine at idle. There is no other electronic mishaps with the dashlight, headlight, or power socket when this happened.
I have an aftermarket Alpine radio (CDE-HD137BT - Alpine In-Dash) with modifry dash controller unit installed 2 years ago. Last week, I took the car back to the shop that did the installation and they pulled the radio out to check the wires in the back. We could not find any loose wires or things that could've cause this. Also, I've been reading the forum and found that a bad accessory power relay could cause this so I've replaced it with a Delco relay 2 days ago.
Since, the radio still intermittently and randomly cut off briefly (~1 sec) and boot right back. I'm now stumped and not sure where or what else to do? If anyone has any other idea, I would greatly appreciate it.
