Default Radio reception...

I've had an '00 and now my '03. Neither have had good radio reception. I am convinced it must be from the tiny antenna. Is there a way to hide an antenna in the trunk to increase your reception or will having it surrounded by metal prevent it from really doing much good?

Another member bolted up an oddysey antenna, and claimed it significantly improved the reception. It would not work in the trunk. However, there are athsetic issues regarding bigger antennas....

Yeah, the reception in my Explorer is great! Putting that giant antenna on my S would look horrible though as you already mentioned.

Would grounding the antenna to the cars body introduce too much noise in the system?

I like my local stations. Good DJ's and I get to hear about all the stuff going on local.
