Default Rainbow Audio ?

Anyone ever heard of (the VERY unfortunately named) Rainbow Audio? Ive heard some pretty good reviews about their component sets but I trust my s2k audiophile friends more than anyone else ^_^ They are supposedly superior to the equiv focal and morrel set ups but they cost more =/ I would like to hear them but I live in hicksville and apparently people here havent gotten the memo that kicker is no longer the absolute best in the universe...............

Rainbow makes the second or third best audio products you can buy. Having said that, nothing they make should be anywhere NEAR an s2000. They are not comparable to any brand of speakers with the exception of Fischer, top shelf Focals, etc. Kicker and Rainbow should'nt even be written next to each other.

#1 would have to be Audiotec Fischer, more specifically, their Brax line....

Second would be either rainbow, or top of the line focal I guess...

unless you plan to go with the platinum line or the reference line, there is nothing special. Platinum line retails over $2200, and the reference line retails over $7000.

i have heard/played with all the rainbow sets so i do have first hand experience with their product line.

the ARC Audio ACS components are made by Rainbow, so if you plan to go with the lower end Rainbows, get the ACS instead, better customer service.

I know a few Rainbow dealers, if you want something, let me know

I was planning on going with either the Vanadium or maybe Platinum lines (depending on price) and thank you very much for the offers on dealers Serbringdemon but my friends shop just got the OK to sell them. So he offered me a pretty nice price compared to the suggested retail.

Why shouldnt they be near an s2k? Over kill due to crappy in-car accustics?? Those Brax products look like art more than audio equipment!!!....yeah I think Ive scrolled up like 8 times just to look at them.

And yes Kicker is crap...high school-parking-lot-fabulous crap...just dont say it around the red neck fan bois!

......9 times

That would be my thinking. The S2000 is such a noisy environment, that the last nuance of speaker difference would be completely lost, in my mind. Unless you plan to listen all the time with the engine off parked in your driveway

High-end audio, like most things, has a price/performance curve that can start to get really steep really quickly (price on the Y-axis). My personal goal is to find that inflection point, where you have to spend multiples to get marginal improvement. I'm pretty sure that in a car like this, that inflection point for components is far below $700.

Honestly, and please take no offense, you would have to be a retard to put in speakers of that caliber into a car like an s2000. Rainbow's, Brax, etc are made for cars like an LS600H, a Maybach, etc etc....cars that are completely sealed from the outside world. You wouldnt be able to tell if they were brax or kicker in an s2000.
