I have a 2005, and lately, I've been hearing this random beep when I turn on my car. It isn't the initial beeping that happens when you put the key in and start the car, but it happens a few seconds after that. It's a quieter beep. It beeps at me about four or five times before it turns off. I have also started to experience a beep when I brake hard.

My maintenance req'd light is on, but that's been on since the last time I changed my oil. I just never turned it off. It used to flash and turn off, but now it just stays solid. I'm wondering if that might have something to do with the beeping noise.

Has anybody else experienced this? What did you do to fix it?

You can try resetting the maintenance light although my 05 never made a noise like that. Do you have an aftermarket head unit?

 

I decided to change my oil today. It isn't time, but I did just take it out of storage, so I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea. Reset the maintenance required light, and the beeping is still continuing.

And no, I don't have an aftermarket head unit. Everything on my car is stock besides the air filter, springs, and wheels. I'm taking my time on mods.

try putting the key back inside the ignition.. just the tip (no pun intended)
then back out again I've learned that sometimes works
