Thumbs up RCA sub out on deck...do I need a y-cable?

Here is my issue. My sony cdx-gt710 has 2 sub-out RCA cables. The deck install manual indicates that it is "MONO" as can be seen here...

http://www.xplodsony.com/files/manuals/CDX...tall_Manual.pdf

My amp says to take a single rca signal, split it up with a y-rca adapter and feed it into the L and R inputs on the amp. Page 50 indictaes the mono subwoofer in this manual for my amp model RAB250...

http://www.maxxsonics.net/manuals/mbquart/...erence_Amps.pdf

Which is the best way to do this??? Does the mono sub-out feature send EXACTLY the same signal to each rca output??? If so why have two then??? Will it be alright to use only 1 rca and use a y-adapter??? If the signal is different for each subout ... and I join the signal... that could cause some serious odd reactions from the sub as it could be getting 2 different signals for left and right from the deck at the same time for different sound notes!??!?! How would you hook this up?

here are the options I see infront of me...

1. Use y-adapter at cd deck... use 1 single rca cable to the amp...use y-adapter at the amp to split signal to the left and right amp inputs

2. Only use 1 output from the cd deck... use 1 rca cable to the amp... use y-adapter at the amp to split signal into both the L and R inputs

3. Use both RCA outputs... use 2 rca cables... feed directly into the amp into L and R input.

Anyone wanna give me some input? Thanks

Just run a regular pair of RCAs. Hook both up at both ends. No worries.

So it is a pretty standard thing for dual rca sub out rca's even though it is mono?

your amp will sum up the signal, just run one pair like NS said The actual reason for this has to do with impedance, but I won't bore you with that
