Default Re: Kill switches for tailights & 3rd brake light?

Since the other thread was lock while I was away in a meeting I'd like to say a few things...

I'm disappointed and rather disgusted by the (im)maturity level of the members that decided to waste my time and their time in going into my thread and providing nothing of use to me.

Comments like these for example:

"However, I for one, hope he finds a way to figure out his master plan - all on his own. Let him play, let him get caught - then we can all have our fun on the roads - safely - while he is in jail playing hide the sausage with the big boys." - S2000GT

If you can't or won't help, there's no need to be an ass. Just stay out of the thread . Is that so hard?

What the hell is the difference between me asking this and someone asking how to hardwire a radar detector? BOTH methods are used to reduce getting attention from cops. BOTH can be implied to have illegal uses. I already stated I wasn't planning to evade cops with it and as someone stated earlier, "you can run from cops but not from motorola". So now I ask, what's the difference? NONE. So the thread was closed because of "potential liability" which I respect and understand, but if you're going by those rules, then why are there tutorials on how to hardwire a radar detector? Using a radar detector in Virginia is illegal also so following the same logic, why are threads about radar detectors OK? Someone using a radar detector certainly didn't buy it for dashboard ornamentation. They're going to use it to avoid getting ticketed when (not IF) they speed. From a lot of the arguments, one would think those certain people drive under 65mph, don't have any speeding tickets, radar detectors, and believe the chances of getting hit by lightning is 1/10. I won't even get into how someone decided to go in and preach and use rediculous, exaggerated, and illogical analogies.

I also like to thank those that responded maturely and didn't preach.

Yet again, your logic is faulty....detectors are LEGAL in most states. What you ask for is ILLEGAL in EVERY state.

Jarod...Get over it.

If you want to talk about immature....consider the person who wants to kill his lights so he can illegally speed at night....consider the immaturity of the person who wants to use this to be able to cloak himself from other road users and expecially from the police....consider the IMMATURITY of this person when he still believes he is in the right despite knowing that he is potentially putting people's lives at risk in doing so.

Jarod seems to be the type of person that if he keeps on telling himself that he is 100% in the right then he believes it. THIS IS NOT THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

How can you compare killing your lights to asking about a radar detector hardwire?? MacGyver is right - radar detectors are not illegal in 46/47 of the 48 states. Radar detectors do not potentially put others peoples lives at risk in such a way your proposal would.

Just admit it....it was a lame idea....you just pi$$ed everyone didnt pat you on the back and tell you how wonderful you are.

I'm closing this thread for the same reason I closed the last version, and since we are now getting into personal attacks it gives me all the more reason to close it.
