Rear speaker harness

Rear speaker harness
So I went to install my lucid rear panels.
I removed the driver side panel by the radio and the headunit.
I found the harness taped to the other one.
I was able to pull it thorough into the HU area and cut of the connector, problem is I have like 1 inch of wire to work with, I got one connector crimped on before I gave up.
In the process I scratch my center console and broke two pieces of the center vent stack to the tune of $247.45 for replacements.
Still no rear speakers,
How in the hell do you get this harness to a place you can work with it?

I think he's asking about the pigtail for the rear (headrest) speakers that's taped behind the little panel by the driver's right knee. It's short and has a 4-pin (female) connector.
We hashed this over about six weeks back, and the best solution I saw (that I stole) was to keep the connector on there and stick soldered wire ends into the four female pin slots (I used filed down spade lugs). But since you cut yours off, I think your best bet would be to take out the head unit and solder on whatever longer wire you're working with. If you do a search here, you'll find lots of stuff about taking the HU out.
(And for others: I haven't found the male side of that connector yet, but I'm now in an area that may have the kind of electrical supply store that has one. So don't hold your breath yet, but optimism is appropriate.) HPH

I did remove the HU and still only had access to like 1.5" of wire.
I am hoping someone at FC05 with baby hands can help me out.

I just did this a couple months ago to my My05, I had to take the seat out to get my fat head under the dash, I used a long knife to cut the tape away and free up the connector but it still didn't hang low enough to work with it, so I used a knife and cut away some of the wrapping around the entire bundle so free it up some more so I could pull it down a couple inches under the dash.
