Rear speaker wires??
I did a search but couldn't find what I needed.
I plan on installing my amp and speakers this weekend, and I was wondering if anyone had tapped the rear speaker wires off of the factory stereo. I'm pretty sure it has them because it has a fader and looks identical to my Civic stereo.
I'm going to use a 4 channel amp with the front running the door components, and the rear running a mono subwoofer.
If anyone has could they give me a hand with the colors or pin numbers on the back of the stereo I would really appreciate it.
Thanks.

Yes, the stock head unit has rear channel outputs. It is a separate amp, not just a fader, so it will not detract from the front channel outputs.
The only problem is that it does not mute. The volume, bass, treble, and fader controls work fine, but the dash mute switch only mutes the front channels. In my case, the rears are powering bass shakers so it's not too annoying to have them rumbling when I'm at the drive-through or whatever. If I really want it silent, I have to lower the volume.
Here's a pic of the harness connector, with the additional outputs labelled. I soldered wires directly to the head unit because I didn't have another connector or additional pins to put in it. If anybody knows where to get connectors and pins please let me know.

You can buy male and female generic Honda harnesses as Metra 70-1721 and 71-1721. These don't have the pins for the S2000's mute or for the other four controls (two leads).
I bought my Metra harnesses from:

One interesting thing I discovered on this board. The "mute" on the dash only mutes the front speakers, so if you connect up the rear speakers you won't get normal muting.
