Default Rear speakers

Is it worth putting in rear speakers with the factory head unit?
Does it put out enough power?
S-pods look like the way to go
Or should I wait till I can afford a new HU?
need some opinions!
thks...

Yes, S-pods with the stock HU does make a huge difference. This was the first stereo mod I did on my 02, and I could finally hear the music with the top down at freeway speeds.

However, it will give you the bug to improve the entire system!

Does MY01 have the same HU as your 02?
Do all the dash controls work the same?
Do you have separate components in your S-pods?
what are they?
thks..

The dash controls are the same on the 01 and 02 models. However, I think the 02 HU puts out more power than the 00-01 units. I put Alpine Type R components in my S-pods ($140 at etronics.com).

the head unit in my 01 is made by matsushita.

The parent of PANASONIC. they made my Teg's radio, too.

of course, the interfaces on both were apine M-Bus compatible.
